Amanda Tully
Director
Hi there! I’m Amanda, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be part of the incredible team at Family and Therapy as Director and Counsellor (MBACP). As a dedicated and fully qualified counsellor registered with the BACP, I bring a wealth of experience to my work with clients, both in the charity sector and my private practice, nestled in the heart of Swansea.. I work with my client in a positive, empathetic and non-judgemental way to foster transformative journeys for individuals aged between 13 and 85 years old.
In my ongoing commitment to personal and professional growth, I’ve recently expanded my reach to conduct mental health workshops tailored specifically for parents. These workshops, spanning four weeks, delve into the intricate connection between parental wellbeing and family dynamics. Together with parents, we explore practical strategies for incorporating self-care into their lives, even with the responsibilities of a family to nurture. The workshops serve as a safe space for parents to become more attuned to their own warning signs for burnout and equip them with tools to manage anxiety and depression effectively.
My upcoming projects demonstrate my continued commitment to community mental health by launching Menopause Support Groups for women facing this challenging time. These groups aim to help participants understand how their personal journey impacts them and provide strategies to mitigate negative experiences. Additionally, drawing from my experience in bereavement work, I am offering a community group in Swansea the opportunity to attend a bereavement support group. This initiative aims to create a space where individuals grappling with grief can come together, feel less isolated, and find mutual support.
